Problem Note 33917: An attempt to connect to an LDAP server using a correct password might fail if the length of the password is a multiple of three
If the length of the password is a multiple of three, an attempt to connect to an LDAP server might fail, even though the password is valid otherwise. In the case of such a failure, the following message will appear:
ERROR: Unable to contact the LDAP server
To circumvent this problem, modify the password by adding or a removing a character.
